Frequently Asked Questions
Minimums, lead times, colour matching, terms, claims and mill visits — answered plainly.
What is your minimum order?
60 yards per colour on any stocked construction, and 500 yards where a custom yarn or a new sett has to be developed. There is no separate minimum order value, and we do not add a small-order surcharge.
How fast can I get a sample?
Hand samples in stocked shades ship in 7 to 10 business days. A custom-matched strike-off adds another 5 to 7 days because the yarn has to be dyed and dried before it can be woven.
What are your production lead times?
Fifteen to twenty-one days for a stocked construction in a stock shade, twenty-one to thirty-five days for custom colour, and six to nine weeks when a brand-new construction has to be engineered from scratch.
Do you weave to a fabric I already buy?
Usually, yes. Send us a half-yard cutting. We count the yarns, measure the sett and weight, identify the finish, and come back with a construction we can hold, plus an honest note on anything we cannot replicate exactly.
Can you match a specific colour?
We match to a physical standard or a Pantone TCX reference. Development is free on orders over 300 yards. Approval is on a physical strike-off assessed under D65 lighting, and the signed strike-off becomes the shipping standard.
What widths can you weave?
Cuttable widths from 54 inches to 118 inches, depending on which loom the construction is assigned to. Wide-width goods are typically drapery, bedding and table linen constructions.
Do you sell to individuals or only to businesses?
We sell wholesale to businesses: workrooms, brands, suppliers and cut-and-sew shops. We are not set up for single-yard retail, though designers specifying for a project can order memo samples.
What payment terms do you offer?
First orders are prepaid by ACH, wire or card. After that, Net 30 terms are available on a completed credit application with two trade references.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Our standard service is domestic within the USA. Canadian and Mexican shipments are quoted case by case; the customer is the importer of record and pays duties and brokerage.
What happens if the fabric is wrong?
Tell us within 30 days of delivery, while the goods are uncut. Send the roll and lot number, photos and a 12-inch cutting. If the claim is valid we replace or credit the yardage and pay the return freight.
Can I visit the mill?
Yes, by appointment. Most customers come through in spring or early fall. We will walk you through warping, weaving, finishing and inspection, and you can approve colour at the frame.
Are your fabrics made in the USA?
Every yard we sell is warped, woven, finished and inspected at 607 Canal Street in Helena, Montana. Yarn is sourced through U.S. merchants; origin documentation is available on request.
Question not covered?
Send a construction, a target weight and a volume — we will come back with pricing, lead time and a hand sample within one business day.
